FAQs

What is colostrum?

Colostrum is a nutrient-rich fluid produced by cows shortly after giving birth, before regular milk production begins.

Nature’s Original Superfood
Holy Cow Health colostrum is collected exclusively from the first two milkings, within 24-48 hours after birth, preserving its peak potency. This ensures a high concentration of immune factors, growth factors, and vital nutrients, designed to support your health across all stages of life.

With over 90 bioactive components, MIP Colostrum offers comprehensive health benefits, from immune support to enhanced nutrient absorption.

Where is Holy Cow Health sourced?

Our colostrum is sourced from free-roaming, pasture raised, happy, healthy New Zealand cows.

What is the New Zealand Advantage?

New Zealand’s global reputation is one of a clean, green paradise; this is reflected in the clean soil, water and air. Even the ocean that surrounds New Zealand allows marine life to flourish.

New Zealand’s pure environment dramatically reduces the risk of contamination from heavy metals and pollutants seen so often in other countries.

Government Enforced Standards
New Zealand’s quality standards are strictly enforced and overseen by the Government. These standards regulate food and agriculture products.

New Zealand is a Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) free country and remains Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) disease free.

On top of this, an antibiotic and hormone-free policy in animal products is strictly enforced. New Zealand animals are raised and farmed to very strict standards of animal health and welfare.

All NutriNZ natural health supplements are GMP manufactured and certified to strict New Zealand Food Safety Authority (NZFSA) and to standards accepted in the USA, Australia and Europe.

Is Holy Cow Health Colostrum ethically sourced?

Yes, we support calf and cow welfare when harvesting colostrum.

Calf welfare
Calves receive adequate colostrum for their health and development. Colostrum is collected only after the calf has received sufficient colostrum (typically 24-48 hours after birth). We take a small percentage of the total colostrum produced, leaving plenty for the calf. Our calves stay with their mothers for an extended period (6-8 months in some cases).

Cow welfare
Ethical sourcing also considers the wellbeing of the mother cows. Cows are pasture-raised with access to open spaces. The use of growth hormones (rBGH or rBST), antibiotics, pesticides and GMOs is strictly avoided. We provide proper nutrition and care for both cows and calves.

To put it simply, we LOVE our cows!

Is your colostrum free from hormones, antibiotics and pesticides?

Absolutely! Holy Cow Health Colostrum is certified to be from healthy, grass-fed, pesticide-free, hormone-free, GMO-free and antibiotic-free cows. It contains no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives.
